Seven commit for four years

Seven athletes signed and committed to the college in which they will continue their sporting careers at. All seven are also on a travel team that they play for when they aren’t involved in their school sport.

Six of the seven athletes who are playing at the college level are playing baseball or softball.

 

Baseball:

Rami Alul will play at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, Ill. Dominic Connolly will play at Maryville University in Saint Louis, Mo. Christian Kraker will play at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Ill. Ryan Sublette and KC Simonich will play at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Rami, Dominic, Christian, and Ryan were all on the state champion team this year.  

Rami batted a .200 (1-5)

Dominic is a .328 career hitter

Christian batted a .225 (16-71)

Ryan batted a .304

KC batted a .342

 

Softball:

Julia will play at Dominican University in River Forest, Ill. Julia said, “I’m most excited to conquer more challenges at the higher level with new people on the team and the different teams I encounter.” When asked about the accomplishments that lead her here, she said, “Once I started making better travel teams, I was getting a lot more exposure with new people and new abilities.” Julia batted a .290 (18-63) with two doubles and a triple. She also drove in eight runs while scoring 13 times in her LHS career.    

    

Basketball:

PJ will play at the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay in Green Bay, Wis. He’s averaged 15.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 steals in 60 career games and reached the free throw line more than 200 times (166-204). PJ will be the third LHS graduate to be playing Division 1 basketball in school history.

Lemont is not just known for academics; every sport is recognized with the amazing coaching and athletes equally. Without the participation and sportsmanship, the continuation of sports careers would be nonexistent.
