This past season was record-breaking for the speech team, as they placed in the top five teams at every varsity tournament, something a Lemont speech team has never accomplished before. Senior and speech team captain Skylar LeFevers commented, “I think we did so well this year because we had a group of talented and more importantly dedicated students working to constantly improve themselves and their team.”

When asked about the future success of the team as they move on to the State-level competition, Lefevers stated, “I of course feel the team will do amazing, not only as a competitor but as a captain and a teammate.”

Lemont High School was deemed the winner of the Blue Division with a total of 184 points.
