Senior student confesses
October 18, 2016
Morgan Pukula is a senior varsity cheerleader. She took her first steps into becoming a cheerleader way back when she was in kindergarten.
“I like building relationships with the people that are on my team. I think it makes me have a different perspective being a cheerleader because I get to see things others don’t,” said Pukula.
As she decides what college to attend, whether it be close or far, she is unsure if she will continue to cheer throughout her college years. She said, “It depends on where I choose to go. If I go somewhere close, most likely. If not, then no.”
She said, “It’s exciting to finally know I’m growing up and going to be independent. But, it’s also scary that everything is happening so fast.”
Although she has a lot on her plate, but she wishes that she could make her own views known about the school. She said, “I would want the teachers to reach out to the kids more. I feel like some still pick and choose favorites.”
Pukula confesses that high school isn’t all terrifying and stressful. She said, “I like how it’s tiny. I like how I don’t see new people in the hallway everyday. I’ve enjoyed it.”
For some students, high school is a nightmare they can’t wake up from, but to others: a beautiful daydream.
