Forty-four new members have been accepted into the National English Honors Society on Oct. 4 by the club’s sponsor, Mrs. Armbrecht. These English excelling students must maintain a 3.5 English GPA and must have taken 2 English electives in order to be inducted in the spring. Members will work to complete literacy hours in the school as well as in the community.

Vice President Maggie O’Brien said, “[She] is looking forward to the extra help from new students along with exposure to new ideas and possibilities.”

She hopes to “emphasize teamwork and volunteering in the community,” said O’Brien regarding this year’s goals. Lemont High School students are impacting the community positively through this organization and will continue to excel in the upcoming months.
