On Jan. 6, Pro-Trump protesters gathered outside of the Oregon Capitol to show their dislike for the 2020 election results. At 2 p.m. Oregon police declared the protest to be an unlawful assembly and ordered for the crowd to disperse. Despite the order, protesters became violent around 5 p.m. and stormed Gov. Jay Inslee’s, a Democrat, home in Olympia, chanting ‘stop the steal’ near his front door.
