3:06 p.m. Biden calls on Trump to stop riots

At 3:06 p.m., President-Elect Joe Biden came onto live television to address the nation. Biden gave an eight-minute address that informed people on what was currently happening, and expressed his disappointment, fear, and anger with the rioters.

During his address, Biden reminded everyone “The scenes of chaos at the Capitol do not reflect a true America, do not represent who we are”. 

Following his address, Biden also took to twitter to call on President Trump to put an end to the riots, specifically saying “I call on President Trump to go on national television now to fulfill his oath and defend the Constitution by demanding an end to this siege”.
