Starting of Fall

With new, red leaves on trees and dropping temperatures, it is clear that fall is in the air. This year, autumn officially began on Sept. 23, 2016. With  fall comes a whole new slew of activities to ensure that this season is not one to forget.

With everyone pulling out their sweaters and getting hyped up about pumpkin lattes coming back, it’s only fair to embark on some new fall experiences.

One popular activity – chosen through a small poll –  is experiencing the season’s change in Chicago.

“Going to Chicago during autumn is really pretty and I enjoy walking through Grant Park and seeing familiar fall colors,” said junior Edyta Mikos.

Another popular activity is attending the annual Fright Fest at Six Flags, which lasts from Sept. 24 – Oct. 31. There, one can ride the popular attractions, take pictures with the actors around the park, and adventure in scary haunted houses.

“One of the most interesting things you can do is go into all seven haunted houses, which are all themed differently and fun to go through with friends,” said junior Jenna Brixie.

Other fun fall activities include going to a pumpkin patch, having a Halloween movie night, or  apple picking.

Whatever the activity is this fall, be sure to make the most out of this beautiful season.
