On Oct. 7 and 8, the girls’ tennis team earned their 13 conference title hosted by Tinley Park at Hillcrest High School. Thanks to Coach Hill, the girls performed extremely well and were able to advance and, ultimately receive both the varsity and junior varsity title.

Throughout the course of the tennis season, the girls accomplished an undefeated season, giving them an advantage coming into the conference matches. Upperclassmen player, Liz Blickhahn, said, “The girls have all worked hard to get to the position we’re at. Practicing throughout the summer and into the school year has definitely given us an advantage because we all work together and are comfortable with each other.”

Looking back at the tennis regular season, Blickhahn said, “This season has been one of the best I’ve experienced throughout my four years of competing. The team’s dynamic is awesome, and we all feed off each other’s energy.”

The girls will advance to Sectionals due to their Conference win. If they perform well at the Sectional match, then they will qualify to compete at the State Finals. Good luck, ladies!
