Sylvia is su(Purdue)per excited about her commitment

Sylvia Kobylak, a senior, commits to Purdue University. Kobylak’s hard work earned her a scholarship and a spot on the Purdue swim team. In a recent interview with her, she dives a little deeper into how she got to this point and what she hopes to achieve in her swim career.
Q: When did you start swimming?
A: I started around age 9.
Q: What club team do you compete for?
A: I compete for WEST Swim Club.
Q: Do you do high school swim?
A: No, but I did it freshman and sophomore year.
Q: How did Purdue reach out to you?
A: Through email, but then I met with them various times at swim meets and attended a swim camp at Purdue.
Q: Are you receiving a scholarship? Is so, a full ride? A partial scholarship?
A: I am getting a scholarship. It’s around half-off the out of state tuition.
Q: What do you hope to accomplish in your swimming career at Purdue?
A: I hope to accomplish the hard work ethic of the Purdue swim team, but mostly bond with all of my future teammates and become more independent!
