On September 30, the freshman, sophomore, and varsity volleyball teams all competed in their homecoming matches against Bremen High School. Each team came out with a win as Lemont had swept Bremen.

The sophomore team had decorated the gym with balloons and streamers with the help of the freshman. In addition to the decorations, posters were made for each member of the sophomore and varsity teams.

Head coach, Chris Zogata said that “The girls played very well, it was our homecoming game so that was very exciting.”

“The gym was decorated awesomely, the sophomores did a great job. I think that the girls were ready to play and that was very exciting.” Zogata added

The varsity had started off the first set with the serve. Sophomore Jess Rimbo served 14 consecutive balls in a row with 8 of them being aces. The ending score of the first set came out to be 25-3, in Lemont’s favor.

In the second set, Lemont did not have the serve, but quickly got the ball back. Lemont won the second set 25-15.

Overall junior Grace Ulatowski had 7 kills and junior Lauren Meyer had 10 assists. Meyer said “It was a fun game, and we played really well. Thanks to everyone who came to watch.”
