2022 NFL Wild Card round: Seeding, matchups, scores and dates

At the end of the 2021-22 NFL regular season, the final playoff standings were set. In the NFC, the Greenbay Packers secured the one seed and a first round bye. While in the AFC, the Tennessee Titans hold the one seed having a first round bye as well.
The NFC final standings are listed as:

The first game took place on Saturday, Jan. 15, between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Cincinnati Bengals. The Raiders scored first going up 3-0 early in the first quarter but was quickly answered by a touchdown pass by Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow to C.J. Uzomah, 3-7. At halftime, the Bengals were leading 13-20. By the end of the game, the Bengals won 19-26, Joe Burrow had 244-yards passing and two touchdowns. The Bengals won their first playoff game in 31 years against the Houston Oilers.
The second game on Saturday was a blowout between the New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills. The Bills got out to a very quick start going up 0-27 with two passing touchdowns from QB Josh Allen and two rushing touchdowns from running back Devin Singleterry. After the big start the Patriots were too far behind to ever come back. The game ended at 17-47 advancing the Bills. Josh Allen ended the game with 374 total yards and Devin singleterry contributed with 94 total yards.
On Sunday, Jan. 16 the Philadelphia Eagles went on the road to play against the reigning champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Eagles made the playoffs after a strong finish to the regular season going 7-3. The Buccaneers came out strong with a rushing touchdown from running back Giovani Benard from two-yards out. The Buccaneers scored another touchdown right at the end of the first quarter, from running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn. Going into halftime the Buccaneers led 0-17. The Buccaneers scored first coming out of half, from a touchdown pass to Rob Gronkowski, pushing the lead to 0-24. The Buccaneers scored again from a 36-yard touchdown reception to Mike Evans, going up 0-31. After 31 unanswered points, the Eagles scored two touchdowns coming from a 34-yard rush from Boston Scott and a 16-yard receiving touchdown to Kenneth Gainwell. The game ended at 15-31 advancing the Buccaneers to the Divisional round.
The second game on Sunday featured the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys. The 49ers quickly went up 10-0 with an Eli Mitchell rushing touchdown and a Robbie Gould field goal. Starting the second quarter the 49ers hit another field goal going up 13-0. The Cowboys responded with a 20-yard receiving touchdown from wide receiver Amari Cooper, cutting the deficit to 13-7. 49ers kicker Gould hit his third field goal of the game from 52-yards out, pushing their lead to 16-7. In the third quarter the 49ers had a one play touchdown from Deebo Samuel rushing for 26-yards. After being down 23-7 at the start of the fourth quarter the Cowboys started their comeback. The Cowboys quickly hit a field goal from kicker Greg Zuerlein cutting the lead to 23-10. Later in the fourth the Cowboys scored on a 5-yard rushing touchdown from quarterback Dak Prescott. With 0:32 left in the game the Cowboys got the ball back on their own 20-yard line being down 23-17. Prescott quickly threw a pass to wide out Cedrick Wilson who latteraled the ball to Ceedee Lamb for a total of a 20-yard gain. With 0:14 left on the clock Prescott rushed up the middle for a 17-yard gain putting the ball at the 49ers 24-yard line, but the Cowboys were unable to get to the ball and run another play. With the clock running out, the 49ers won 23-17, which pushed them to the next round.
In the final game Sunday the Pittsburgh Steeler traveled to Kansas City to play the Chiefs. After a scoreless first quarter, the Steelers scored on a Chiefs fumble that was returned for a touchdown, creating a 7-0 lead. The Chiefs went on to score three straight touchdowns in the second quarter from Jerick McKinnon, Byron Pringle and Travis Kelce. Coming out of halftime the Chiefs led 21-7 and scored again from a Nick Allegretti receiving touchdown. The game ended at 21-42 in the Chiefs favor, pushing the Steelers out of the playoffs and what could be Steelers quarterback “Big” Ben Roethlisberger’s last game of his career.
On Monday, Jan. 17, The Arizona Cardinals played the Los Angeles Rams for the last game of the Wild Card series. The Rams scored first from an Odell Beckham Jr. receiving touchdown. Later in the first half, Matthew Stafford rushed up the middle for a one-yard touchdown. Coming out of halftime the Rams led 0-20 and quickly scored again, going up 0-28. The Rams won the game 11-34, Matthew Stafford ended with 202-yards passing and three total touchdowns.
