Delaney Plotke makes another appearance in this year's winter exhibition. She has had plenty of former artwork appear in shows in which she won in digital art for her piece titled “Forget me not” in the previous exhibit “Everytime the bell rings.”

“The clock is ticking” hosted by the National Art Society made its debut Thursday, Jan. 27 and it was a great success. The art exhibit went in collaboration with the play “Radium Girls” presented by the Drama club. The show ran from 5:45 – 6:45 p.m., while the play started at 7 p.m. Other showings took place the following Friday and Saturday.

Plenty of talent was displayed throughout gallery 306 including several pieces by Delaney Plotke.

“I had 5 different pieces in the exhibit. Two of them were on the Chicago “four-by-five” wall. I also had an acrylic wood shaped piece and a piece of digital art. My favorite of them is an ink drawing of an off spray holding its catch called fresh fish,” said Plotke.

Her favorite piece displayed earned her a first place finish in the drawing category, whom LHS alumni Jenna Bumber made an appearance as she was this show’s judge.

A few other winners included Ruby Kraker in ceramics, Dale Fischer in digital/graphic art, Toby Colabelli in painting and Ryan Babinec in photography.

If you missed the opportunity to check out this winter’s art show, there will be another show expected for May.
