American singer – songwriter and worldwide pop phenomenon Taylor Swift, recently announced the release of her highly-anticipated “The Eras Tour” concert film. The two hour and 45 minute movie is set to hit theaters on October 13, 2023.
On August 30, Swift posted the movie trailer on Instagram and captioned it, “The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon 😆 Starting Oct 13th you’ll be able to experience the concert film in theaters in North America! Tickets are on sale now. Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged 🫶 1, 2, 3 LGB!!!! (iykyk)”
Tickets start at $19.89 for adults and $13.13 for children and seniors. Fans even had to wait in a queue to purchase tickets. The Eras Tour movie is set to stream on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The record-breaking AMC presale gross of $26 million has shown that not only does Swift dominate the music industry, but also the movie industry. However, this has also come with some jealousy from film companies. According to Puck News, AMC Theatre CEO Adam Aron reportedly met with her father, Scott Swift, and developed a ludicrous deal for both parties. By cutting out film production companies and partnering with the biggest movie chain in the world, the Swift company was also able to create and promote the movie despite the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes.
While fans flood the theaters with their Eras Tour attire and friendship bracelets, they can expect an exclusive Eras Tour mini poster with their ticket (while supplies last). In addition, fans can purchase a variety of merchandise including an Eras Tour themed popcorn bucket, priced at $14.99, and an Eras Tour themed drink cup, priced at $11.99 (while supplies last).
