While Class Color Day separates each grade starkly, it is not the only day in which grades are separated. In the past, the themes for this unique day have included Decades Day, Generation Day and this year’s Holiday Day.
The freshmen dressed for Valentine’s Day, sophomores for Halloween, juniors for 4th of July and seniors for Christmas. While staff had the option to choose their own holiday, most staff members decided to dress for Saint Patrick’s Day. Each class came into school decked out for their holiday and it truly lifted spirits in the hallways.
“Honestly, I feel like the senior grade has the best holiday because we’re Christmas. Everyone loves Christmas, Christmas is everyone’s favorite holiday,” said senior Lukas Petraitis.
Some students wish that their class’ holiday was one that a different grade had. “I like all of the other grade’s holidays better than ours,” said sophomore Layla Abughosh.
The seniors dominated the skits, winning first place with “Jingle Bell Rock” and second with “WWJD”. The juniors took third with “Old Town Road” and fifth with “Born in the USA”. The freshmen ended up taking fourth with “You Belong to Me”.
“I thought our grades’ was good, I liked when Moe [Abusalah] did a backflip, I got very excited and started jumping,” said junior Nick Krakowski.
“They were very interesting and entertaining,” said freshman Hailey Borner.
