With five new episodes of chaos and laughs, “Outer Banks” season four is off to another gold-crazed start. This season feels like we are diving into the real intentions of the pogues; they all just want to build a life for themselves.
The season begins as we follow the pogues through the events that occurred directly after discovering the gold of El Dorado. In this segment we also discover the truth behind their need to treasure hunt once again.
They cashed in their gold and bought a house where they created a small surf shop called “Pougelandia 2.0.” However, not long after they bought it J.J. makes very irresponsible choices with their money — like betting it all on himself to win a dirtbike race — and they are now in another extreme amount of debt, just like before.
This leads them to a man who wants them to search for Blackbeard’s gold, and due to their current financial situation, they accept. This leads them down a trail of adventures and overwhelming dangers as always. Some of these include epic bike races, scuba diving mishaps, and of course the occasional life threatening-chase.
We also see the new couples evolve throughout the first five episodes. J.J. and Kiara are constantly shown holding one another and giving much-needed support. Cleo and Pope have definitely left the “No Love Club” as they cuddle against each other. And our last iconic couple, Sarah and John B., are as daring and romantic as always.
The highly intense episodes have left fans craving the second release of the season which is premiering Nov. 7. Until then, fans can only imagine what comes next for the pogues. Another season? A tragic defeat? We will know soon after this second highly anticipated installment airs!
