
The 2025 NBA Playoffs are underway and excitement is building as teams prepare to battle for the championship title. With the regular season concluding, the top eight teams from each conference will face off in what promises to be a thrilling postseason.
In the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers claimed the top seed, led by Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland. They took on the eighth-seeded Miami Heat, led by Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, where the Cavs swept the Heat, 4-0.
Meanwhile, the defending champions, the Boston Celtics with former finals MVP Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, the Celtics took on the Orlando Magic, led by Paolo Bacnhero. The Celtics defeated the Magic, 4-1.
The New York Knicks returned to the playoffs led by Jalen Brunson and Karl Anthony Towns. They took on the Detroit Pistons, who last year broke the record for the longest losing streak in NBA history after losing 28 games in a row, finishing with 14 wins. This year, Detroit won 44 games, which was a huge turnaround for the franchise, however the Knicks beat the Pistons, 4-2.
The Indiana Pacers, led by Tyrese Haliburtion, who advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals last year, the Pacers played the Milwaukee Bucks, led by MVP candidate Giannis Antetokumpo, The Pacers defeated the Bucks, 4-1.
Over in the Western Conference, the Oklahoma City Thunder look to continue their historic season after achieving the most wins in franchise history. To finish it all off with an NBA Championship, they took on the Memphis Grizzlies, who are led by Ja Morant, the Thunder swept the Grizzlies, 4-0.
The Houston Rockets, led by rising star Jalen Green, went head-to-head with the Golden State Warriors in an intense seven game series, the Warriors are a team that has had countless successes in the playoffs over the years. The Warriors defeated the Rockets 4-3.
Another anticipated matchup will be the Los Angeles Lakers, led by four-time NBA Champion and scoring leader Lebron James and Luka Doncic who faced the explosive Anthony Edwards who led the Timberwolves to the playoffs, where the Timberwolves were able to pull off the upset and defeat the Lakers 3-2.
For the Western Conference former 2023 NBA Champions the Denver Nuggets led by superstar center Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray took on the Los Angeles Clippers, led by Kawai Lenard and James Harden, the Nuggets defeated the Clippers 4-3.
