Following spirit week, LHS students were asked to vote on their favorite 2025 Homecoming spirit days. The results showed an astounding amount of support for Generation Day. This day involved the different grade levels dressing as various generations. This day was a thrilling way to show school spirit and bond with fellow classmates.
“I rank generation day first because there was a lot of participation and many people did skits from different generations,” an anonymous student said.
Despite many skits on Generation Day, the winning skit “Lullaby” by the senior class involved the seniors writing a lullaby for all of the underclassmen.

The second most favorite spirit day was Western vs. West Coast. Out of a survey done with 178 participants, 69 people voted for Western vs. West Coast as their favorite dress up day.
“Western vs. West Coast. I voted this first because I think it was fun having two options to choose from and seeing everyone actually participate,” an anonymous student said.
This theme brought out lots of students’ school spirit with lots of boys dressed in floral polos and girls in sparkly cowgirl hats;things that most students already had in their closets. The skit winners for Western vs. West Coast were the seniors with “Mashup: Cotton Eye Joe/Crusin For A Brusin”
No matter what the student’s favorite spirit days were, Homecoming week is always a great way to show LHS school spirit and to build a community.
