From Ice Spice to Zendaya to Jenna Ortega, celebrities at the 2025 Paris Fashion Week are taking on the runway by storm. All the luxurious brands are coming in hot with celebrities styled in their apparel. Some of the infamous brands include Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent and Christian Dior.
The 2025 Paris Fashion Week was from Sept. 29 to Oct. 7. Established in 1973, Paris Fashion Week has become one of the most notable fashion weeks along with Milan, New York and London. This is a week where brands are able to showcase haute couture, or exclusive fashion, and set the tone for upcoming trends of the season.
Fashion trends from these types of fashion weeks come down a ladder. The trends start with designer brands, worn by celebrities and the elite, then trickle their way down to commercial companies and your everyday clothes. Paris Fashion Week is one of the places where it all starts.
One of the many brands displaying its lines is Stella McCartney. The brand is known for its cruelty-free lines and even partnered with the United Nations for a sustainable fashion charter.
McCartney’s show during fashion week was titled “Come Together,” to represent a call-to-action on bringing people, animals and nature together.
“Come Together” showcases their cruelty-free clothing line. Created by Helen Mirren, the line has no leather, fur or exotic skin and is 98% sustainable and 100% cruelty-free. To do so, McCartney used a plant-based alternative to feathers called FEVVERS and programmable fabric that absorbs pollutants from the air called PURE.TECH.
FEVVERS is the world’s first ethical alternative to feathers. Founded by Nicola Woollon and James West, the UK startup made its debut thanks to McCartney. This startup is a monumental change to the fashion industry, potentially changing the environmental crisis associated with fashion.
Paris Fashion Week has ended, but society is eager to see all of the new trends and creations that these artists have curated and brought to life.
