New 007 action-packed film not up to par

Sam Mendes brings action to the screen with the newest James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig. “Spectre” is a  2 hour and 28 minute packed sequel of the franchise,  Co-starring is Léa Seydoux as the well known Bond girl.  With every James Bond movie comes a villain and that role went to Christoph Walz.

Spectre takes place in Mexico with James Bond on a mission that leads to a lot of trouble. The film progresses to London where Bond meets Dr. Madeleine Swann. Working together, the pair find a shivering connection between Bond and the culprit.

With all the other James Bond movies in consideration, “Spectre” was not the best. It’s easy to over think the film just because it’s a part of this franchise. Whether it’s the director or the producers, “Spectre” was low on the bar. The Bond girl isn’t that good of a role either. Taking the role of a bond girl is a very important role considering that one of the things James Bond is known for.  Léa Seydoux let down the role of a bond girl; yes, she is beautiful, but her acting was substandard.  She kept the same facial expression throughout the entirety of the movie which gave no positive effect to the movie and her character. Lea also has a very monotone voice which didn’t allow for her lines to cause much impact during the movie.

All together, “Spectre” could be a good or bad movie depending on how one thinks. It’s a very different type of James Bond movie. Most James Bond movies have great acting, lots of action, and a good story to follow. Unfortunately, Spectre did not have all those characteristics with it.
