Deemed the second most successful fundraiser in Lemont High School’s history, this year’s Turnabout Dance, held on Jan. 21, was a huge success. The National Honors Society organized the event and dedicated all the funds to the local charity “Mulliganeers.”

While dancing the night away, students were able to help the community by simply enjoying the evening with friends. Sophomore Patrick Pirszel said, “Overall, the dance was pretty fun but at some points, the music could have been a little better.”

Senior Bridget Kunkel said, “I’m extremely proud of our school for coming together and making the night a success, especially since it was for such a great charity.”

NHS fundraising officer Siena Schuth said, “It was a huge hit and went better than I ever imagined. Over 200 people attended and we raised about $3,000.”

Regarding the charity, Schuth said, “The Mulliganeers charity benefits families involved in recent medical crises. Our money will be going to families in need and cover a variety of medical expenses for local families.”

NHS is looking forward to hosting the Turnabout dance again next year, as there is hope for an even bigger and better outcome!

Way to go Lemont!
