Fighting for restaurant gift cards

The Speech team fundraiser, LHS Game Night, took place on March 24th for a very fun night. Unlike the last few years, this year’s fundraiser is a game show style event. Competitors were pitted against each other for prizes.

Tickets were on sale for $5 at lunch and $7 at the door.

Julissa Nuñez won the Game Night competition. Her prizes included a $30 gift card to 3 Corners, Sriracha, and a crown to show off her title.

When asked about what she thought of the event, she said, “I enjoyed the event. So I mean I wasn’t expecting much. I just really wanted to make it past family feud and all of a sudden I won.”

The past few years were typically Faculty Idol, an event that featured student and teacher musicians along with ‘celebrity’ judges (AKA teachers such as Mrs. Parry). The faculty contestants included Eric Michaelsen, Marek Dron, Angela Marshall, Amanda Huling, Brian Storako, Matt Synowiecki, Kathryn Kupcheck, Chris Zogata, Rob Wostratzky, and Matt Doherty.

All in all, LHS Game Night was certainly a success.
