Getting a student’s perspective on Homecoming 2016

This past Saturday, Sept. 17 was Lemont High School’s Homecoming Dance. One student that attended the dance was senior Jacqueline Tomecki.

“It was a blast,” Tomecki said. She mentioned that her favorite part of the dance was getting dressed up and being with friends.

Tomecki said, “The theme was very creative.” At the dance, there were themed decorations on each table and a variety of masks around the gym which were available to be worn. “The decorations were a nice touch,” said Tomecki.

This year, the school hired a new DJ. Tomecki enjoyed dancing to the music and said, “I thought the music was pretty good.” The only thing she didn’t like about the new DJ was that he put on music that was “overplayed and songs that were older,” said Tomecki.

She said that a majority of the kids stayed the whole time, but those who had left did so because they were bored. However, Tomecki said, “The timing of the dance was just right.”
