It’s always a great day when a teacher gets hit in the face with pie. It’s an even better one when a student is the one who throws the pie.

The annual fundraiser for the math honor society, Mu Alpha Theta, experienced a large turnout for a pie throwing event on Mar. 14. Staff, students, and onlookers could only watch in shock, anticipation, and glee as the winners of the raffle were able to throw pies at their educators.

The fundraiser ran from Mar. 6 to Mar.10 with students being able to purchase raffle tickets during lunch.

The next Pi Day will take place on Wednesday, Mar. 14, 2018. Until then: what’s the official animal of pi day?

The answer: A pi-thon.
