After waiting almost four years for a cure to their lack of Harry Styles music, fans have finally received their long-awaited dose of music and tour dates. As of March, Styles ended the long drought by releasing a new album called “Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally,” which features 12 tracks of pure bliss and wonder.
Simultaneously, Styles announced a massive 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden in New York City (August to October) alongside stops in Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, Mexico City, Melbourne and Sydney.
While the new album was widely appreciated and received positive feedback as soon as it was released, Style’s tour schedule and locations weren’t appreciated in the same way.
In the past, Styles has made stops in almost every major city in North America as well as Europe. However, since his only stop in America this year is New York, fans are outraged because if they want to see him, they have to travel to one of the most expensive and crowded cities in the country.
Still, after waiting years on end for new music, fans are beyond excited to see what he will bring to the stage this fall. Many people wonder if this tour will mimic his previous performances during Love on Tour with a personable and charismatic environment versus other artists’ approaches, such as Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which is very flashy and dance heavy.
Personally, as someone who attended both types of shows, I believe Styles brought a unique type of concert to the table, as it felt like he was there to just appreciate and share his craft, while other shows feel like they are focused solely on entertainment. So, I, along with many others, hope Styles replicates that type of tour experience.
As of now, there’s no telling what else is to come from Styles, but fans are sure they will embrace it with open arms.
