Escape reality and step into a world of art and music with a 25-minute Virtual Reality experience at the Lithuanian World Center. This Virtual Reality film, titled “Trial of Angels”, takes viewers on a journey, including paintings and musical compositions of artist Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. This Lithuanian artist was a unique figure in European arts in the early 1900’s.

When it first premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2018, it was very highly praised and impressive to the audience. The film incorporates generational virtual reality technology and it offers a chance to experience Čiurlionis’ 60 iconic pieces in a way that can not be replicated in a traditional art gallery setting.

“It feels like you’re in the painting. It’s a great adventure that words cannot describe,” said Lina Phillips, a woman who saw the film last Friday.

The film will be held everyday until April 30, with tickets being priced at $35 on their website. Do not let the language barrier stop you from experiencing this one-of-a-kind film, as there are no words spoken, just sounds of nature and the artist’s compositions. It is located in the “Siela” gallery of the Lithuanian Arts Museum, located on the lower level of the building.
