With three new victories on Oct. 15, 22, and 29, Girls’ Cross Country brought home yet another conference, regional, and sectional title. A few top placing runners included Beata Drozda who placed fifth at sectionals along with Bridget Kunkel not far behind in tenth place contributing to the all around team score.

Kunkel said, “Our coaches predicted that the competition would be extremely tight. We ran as a team and gave it our best, which helped us succeed.” Even with tight competition, the girls were able to pull through to solidify the winning title in all three competitions.

Junior Celine Ratulowski said, “Although conference competition was much easier than sectionals, the win propelled the team to carry the positive energy on to the state finals.”

With the season coming to an end, Evie Conway said, “[She’s] glad that the team was able to work as a unit and recover from the rocky beginning.” Summer training and guidance from Coaches Tim Plotke and Stephanie Miller helped the team succeed and accomplish another great season.
