“Gear”ing up for graduation

As the semester winds down, and the stress of finals nears, seniors are preparing for graduation, which will be Friday, May 25. However, before graduation, seniors must prepare for the ceremony by picking up graduation caps, gowns and tickets.

Seniors were able to pick up their caps and gowns during lunch on May 14. The seniors were also given a letter informing them of important upcoming events regarding graduation.

If a senior was unable to pick up his or her cap and gown on May 14, he or she could pick up their gear in the PPS office beginning from May 15.

“Even after I picked up my graduation cap and gown from the lunch room, it felt all too surreal,” said senior Anne Dillenburg. “I still feel as though all of us grads have another year together.”

During the last week of school, beginning May 21, seniors are able to pick up their graduation tickets from the PPS office. Each senior is allowed two seating tickets to the PAC and five seating tickets to the gymnasium.

Although the last days of school is almost upon us, the school will hold any students with unpaid fees or a failed course required to graduate accountable, and will not issue a cap, gown or tickets to these students.
