Grammy-nominated vocalist, Olivia Dean, is making waves with her hit songs “Man I Need” and “So Easy (To Fall In Love).” Her neo-soul sound playing in the background of influencers’ TikToks and “Man I Need” taking the fourth spot of the “Billboard Hot 100.”
Dean, 26, hails from Northeast London, England and has been releasing music since 2019 with her first single “Password Change.” Now, six years later, she’s showing up the music industry with her fun neo-soul pop production and romantic lyrics following the release of her latest record “The Art of Loving” on Sept. 26.
“The Art of Loving” has made its way onto the “Billboard Hot 200” for albums and continues to make its presence known on social media as a trending audio. Standout tracks for casual listeners of Dean are “Man I Need,” “So Easy (To Fall In Love)” and “Nice to Each Other.” Dean explores themes of love, whether it be romantic, platonic or self-oriented. “Love’s never wasted when it’s shared,” Dean sang in “A Couple of Minutes.”
The soulful vocalist has been making regular appearances as she just performed on the “Saturday Night Live” stage last Nov. 15 and has a North American tour coming up that fans have already lost the “Ticketmaster war” over. Dean had even sold out her Madison Square Garden date for Aug. 14, 2026, prompting her to add an extra three dates at MSG.
However, even with the new added dates, there were still scalpers buying and reselling tickets at ridiculous prices, some over $1,000. Dean called out major ticket distributors Ticketmaster, Live Nation and AXS in an Instagram post, “You are providing a disgusting service. The prices at which you are allowing tickets to be resold is vile and completely against our wishes. Live music should be affordable and accessible and we need to find a way to make that possible. Be better,” said the singer.
After this call out, Dean and her team were able to negotiate with these distributors to refund fans that had paid the outrageous resale pricing. Which is a phenomenal step forward in the world of secondary ticket reselling, a market highly unregulated and exploitative of both fans and artists.
Dean has also acquired a “Best New Artist” nomination for the upcoming 2026 Grammy’s for her stellar year of music industry success. “Had to take a sec to process this but I’ve been nominated for a Grammy thank you world and the Recording Academy,” the singer said in an Instagram post.
If you haven’t heard any of her songs on TikTok yet, go check her out on music streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.
