Us Against Bullying held their first meeting of the 2021 school year August 31.

Us Against Bullying is a club run by Mr. Gagnon and Mr. Plotke, with the purpose of eliminating bullying at LHS.

According to Mr. Plotke, the end goal of Us Against Bullying is to “create a positive environment where everyone is comfortable, and to get people the help they need to prevent any detrimental effects.”

Us Against Bullying has been active since the 2019-20 school year, and is finally back after a break due to COVID.

“We want to make sure everyone in school feels comfortable and knows that LHS is a safe place where they can learn. We want everyone to feel welcome,” said Mr. Plotke.

17 students currently participate in Us Against Bullying. He added that people should join because “it is a way to help others and build a stronger sense of community in LHS. Us Against Bullying helps build community.”

If you are interested in joining Us Against Bullying, meetings are held in N209 once a month at 7:30 a.m. Contact Mr. Gagnon or Mr. Plotke for more information.
